SINSTAR®.

SINSTAR® is a broad spectrum fungicide formulated as a Concentrated Suspension (SC) based on azoxystrobin 25% w/v (250 g/L), authorized for use on wheat, barley, grapevine and tomato. It acts as a systemic fungicide with translaminar activity, with preventive and curative effect, and presents slow acropetal translocation with uniform distribution on the leaf.

Wheat, barley, grapevine and tomato.

Controlled diseases (according to crop)

  • Barley: reticular helminthosporiosis(Pyrenophora teres), powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis), rhynchosporiosis/scald(Rhynchosporium secalis) and brown or dwarf rust(Puccinia hordei).
  • Wheat: alternaria(Alternaria triticina), stripe rust (Puccinia striiformis), brown rust(Puccinia triticina) and septoria(Zymoseptoria tritici).
  • Tomato: alternaria(Alternaria solani), cladosporiosis(Fulvia fulva), downy mildew (Phytophthora infestans) and powdery mildew(Oidium neolycopersici).
  • Grapevine: downy mildew(Plasmopara viticola) and powdery mildew(Erysiphe necator).

Dosage, number of applications and intervals (according to label)

  • Wheat and barley: 1 L/ha, maximum 2 applications, 14 days interval, volume of broth 200-300 L/ha.
  • Tomato: 0.8 L/ha, maximum 2 applications, 7 days interval, volume of broth 200-800 L/ha.
  • Grapevine: 1 L/ha, maximum 2 applications, 10 days interval, volume of broth 200-1000 L/ha.

Mode and timing of application (foliar spraying)

Apply by foliar spraying, respecting the conditions indicated for each crop:
  • Wheat and barley: from BBCH 31 (1st node) to BBCH 69 (end of flowering).
  • Tomato: from the 3rd inflorescence (1st open flower) until 70% of the fruits show the typical color of maturity.
  • Grapevine: BBCH 57 (inflorescences developed; flowers separating) to BBCH 75 (pea-sized berries; hanging clusters).

Safety period (days)

  • Wheat and barley: 35 days.
  • Tomato: 3 days.
  • Grapevine: 21 days.

Observations on use and safety

  • Very toxic to aquatic organisms, with long lasting harmful effects. Do not contaminate water with the product or its container.
  • Respect the safety strips: 5 m in vineyards and 10 m with vegetation cover in cereals and tomatoes up to surface water bodies.
  • Avoid drift, runoff and release to the environment.
  • In application and handling of the equipment, use the protective equipment indicated on the label.
  • Do not enter treated crops until the spray has dried.

Packaging management

Rinse each container vigorously three times, incorporating the rinse water into the spray tank, and deliver the empty container to the authorized collection points.
